A Few Things to know.

Each month I will be showcasing ideas and artwork focusing on the use of the current promotions and workshops that are available that month. Some workshops will be at my home, but most will also be available in a kit format that you can do at home as well.

WORKSHOPS ON THE GO: These are monthly workshops that are held in my home, but that can be done on your own as well. The cost for a scrapbook workshop is $29.95 and includes supplies to create a 2-page layout with plenty left over to create more. (last month I made 6 layouts, 8 greeting cards and had almost a full roll of ribbon ($6.95 value), and 3/4 package of embellishments ($5.95 value) left over) You will also get a D-sized stamp set (valued at $17.95) to keep and use over and over. Most kits have a value of about $40 for only $29.95. If the workshop uses cricut embellishments I will cut these out for you so you can still do them at home even without a cricut machine. (ink pads however are not included).

STAMPS OF THE MONTH: Every month CTMH has what they call a stamp of the month D-sized ($17.95 value) stamp set that is only available during that particular month. When it's gone...it's gone! It can be purchased at full retail value, or for anyone spending $50 in other product they can purchase it for just $5.00. Check back regularly to see what this month's stamp set is and for ideas on how to use it.

SPECIALIZED PROJECTS: Ocassionally I will be offering other projects such as home decor ideas, card making workshops, technique classes and seasonal or gift giving ideas. I am hoping that these will be offered both as classes in my home as well as kits that can be done on your own. Keep your eyes on my blog as the holidays are just around the corner.

Upcoming Classes/Workshops/Crops

Unfortunately with my new and crazy retail work schedule...finding days and times to do my normal holiday card/gift classes has been a challenge.  I always have Sundays off, and Never have Tuesdays or Fridays off...the rest is hit and miss. I am going to do my best to schedule my classes according to what I think I will have available but please know that I may have to re-schedule last minute or prepare a kit for you to do at home if you can't make the re-scheduled date. I am really hoping that I won't have to re-schedule anything but there is always a chance. I am supposed to have every other Saturday off, but work just pulled a twist on me and gave me two Saturdays off in a row...I am guessing because they will want me to work two in a row following black Friday.  I will keep you posted as I know for sure, but this is how my class schedule is going to stand for now: Please RSVP for any or all ASAP so I can get stuff ordered right away.  If you can't attend a workshop let me know if you would like a kit and directions...I will see what I can do.

Workshop on the Go CARD KITS and

A CUT ABOVE card Kits

You've heard me talk about workshops on the go before. They are the scrapbooking layout kits that my club group does each month. Well Close to my Heart also has to WOTG Cardmaking kits.  These are kits that come with everything you need (except the inks) to create 15 beautiful cards in 3 designs. Papers, envelopes, embelishments (ribbon, glitter tape, brads etc) and complete cutting and assembly instructions are included.  They have both a fall "thank you" card kit and a Holiday kit. Cost is $24.95 each kit

THE CUT ABOVE KITS  are a little different. There are 4 card designs, two  holiday, one thank you and one birthday and two treatbag designs (one Halloween and one Holiday) Each kit makes 10 identical items and they are completely pre cut and ready to assemble. Just stamp (with either of the stamp sets sold separately or your own sentiments from other stamp sets you might own) and put together. SO EASY!

Make them your own by personalizing more with other stamp sets and or a splash of color.

kits range from $9.95-$14.95 and the coordinating stamp sets are $9.95

OCTOBER WORKSHOP ON THE GO- CLUB KIT

AND ALTERNATE PAGES COMPLETED WITH SOME OF THE LEFTOVERS AND THE
MATCHING SET OF COMPLEMENTS  CHIPBOARD SHEETS ($4.95) AND SOME OTHER FALL THEMED STAMP SETS

Cost for the kit is $29.95. You can do the kit at home (with your own ink pads or join our workshop on SUNDAY OCT 26th at 1:00 PM and use mine.  We will be working on the top 2 pages during the workshop...and you will go home with plenty of leftovers to do more later.  Surprisingly I even made the following card set (including the box) from the leftover papers in the fall paper pack. I got the idea from our Convention in the summer, my apologies...I do not remember the name of the person who originally created it. Hard to believe that paper is from the fall paper pack...looks more like spring!

I also made the following from the same Fall paper pack - thanks once again to ideas from an unknown consultant at convention
